Community Manager at Asset Living – El Paso, TX

Responsibilities

  • Supervise all phases of community operations, including leasing, maintenance, finance, administration, and risk management.
  • Manage personnel: screen, hire, train, coach, and develop on‑site staff; develop schedules; address performance issues; and document actions.
  • Promote staff compliance with company policies and fair‑housing regulations.
  • Achieve the highest possible net operating income through cost control, revenue and leasing improvements, and trend analysis.
  • Develop yearly operating budgets and forecasts; reconcile deposits, rent collections, vendor invoices, and property close‑out reports.
  • Lead strategic leasing: create yearly marketing plans, execute marketing strategies, and manage lease signing and reporting processes.
  • Address resident complaints and concerns, implement resident retention programs, and oversee move‑in activities.
  • Ensure administrative and leasing reporting accuracy; manage emergency response teams and property emergencies.
  • Maintain property appearance and complete repairs promptly through regular inspections and tours.
  • Manage property resources, equipment, and supplies economically; oversee maintenance, construction, and rehabilitation activities for quality and expediency.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or four years’ experience in the housing industry; or one‑two years related experience and/or training.
  • Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements; ability to perform all on‑site software functions.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills; ability to work overtime, weekends, and night hours during emergencies.

Physical Requirements

  • Requires repetitive wrist, hand, and finger motions, standing or sitting for prolonged periods, and frequent standing or walking.
  • Occasional ladder, stair, scaffolding, and ramp use; ability to lift object up to 25 lbs and operate machinery or motor vehicles.
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces, exterior environments, and varying temperatures; exposure to hazardous chemicals may occur.

License / Equipment

  • Reliable transportation required due to emergency on‑call duties.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $20.00 – $22.47 per hour.

Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, accidental, and disability insurance, 401(k) with employer matching, and commission and performance bonuses when applicable. Full‑time employees receive paid sick days and company holidays.
