Our client, an innovative organization making meaningful strides across the education space, is looking for a Content Marketing Strategist who can bring creativity, energy, and strategic analytical thinking to their growing marketing team. In this hybrid Phoenix-based role, you'll elevate their brand voice, strengthen message alignment across digital channels, and drive engagement through high-impact storytelling. This hybrid role requires candidates to be based in the Greater Phoenix Area.
WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Drive Strategic Content Planning & Editorial Direction
- Build and own a multi-channel content strategy that supports brand awareness, marketing objectives, and prospective audience engagement.
- Conduct audience, trend, and SEO research to inform messaging approaches, uncover content opportunities, and guide editorial priorities.
- Maintain a forward-looking content roadmap ensuring timely, coordinated execution across platforms and campaigns.
Craft High-Impact Content & Refine Brand Voice
- Write, edit, and produce engaging content across digital and print platforms - including web copy, blogs, landing pages, social posts, email campaigns, ads, and more.
- Serve as brand voice champion by maintaining editorial standards and ensuring consistent tone and messaging across internal and external communications.
- Use SEO insights, analytics, and AI-powered research tools to enhance content quality, scalability, and performance.
- Translate organizational goals into compelling narratives that resonate with education-focused audiences.
Lead Integrated Campaign Development & Optimization
- Collaborate closely with digital, creative, and strategy teams to build end-to-end campaigns that map to each stage of the audience journey.
- Analyze content performance (traffic, engagement, conversions) to identify optimizations, refine messaging, and guide strategic pivots.
- Oversee A/B testing and iterative improvements to strengthen the impact of key campaigns and high-visibility messaging.
- Identify content gaps and proactively propose new concepts to support organizational priorities.
Enhance Marketing Operations & Creative Infrastructure
- Maintain editorial frameworks, brand guidelines, and content governance systems to streamline processes and ensure consistency.
- Support CMS updates, digital asset organization, and cross-team workflows that improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Partner with designers, videographers, and external creative partners to bring stories and campaigns to life.
- Stay current on emerging tools, technologies, and content trends that could elevate brand expression.
Support Engagement, Events & Cross-Functional Initiatives
- Develop messaging for internal updates, campaigns, community initiatives, and large-scale events.
- Produce compelling visuals and written assets that support recruiting, onboarding, engagement, and public-facing communications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure alignment across key organizational moments and external touchpoints.
WHAT YOU BRING:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Education, or a related field.
- 3-6 years of experience in content strategy, copywriting, marketing communications, or editorial roles.
- Previous work experience in the education industry preferred.
- Proven ability to build and execute content strategies across web, social, email, and digital campaign ecosystems.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills with a portfolio that demonstrates clarity, creativity, and audience-centric storytelling.
- Experience using SEO tools (Google Search Console, SEMRush, etc.), project management tools (Jira), analytics platforms (Google Analytics), CMS systems (HubSpot), and AI-assisted content tools.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy, brand consistency, and high editorial standards.
- Strong organizational, cross-team collaboration, and project management skills.
- A proactive, curious, and solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities.
