Media Strategist

Location: Atlanta, GA

Salary: $70,000–$80,000 (as of 2 weeks ago)

Strategic Media Planning

  • Develop integrated media plans across digital, social, and programmatic channels that align with client objectives and budgets.
  • Conduct audience and market research to inform media strategies, using data to uncover insights that drive targeting and messaging.
  • Translate client goals and KPIs into actionable media strategies that deliver clear ROI.
  • Present media recommendations and rationale to clients with clarity and confidence.

Campaign Execution & Coordination

  • Oversee the implementation of approved media plans, ensuring timely trafficking, asset delivery, and campaign launches.
  • Partner with Growth Lead to align media strategy with creative messaging and measurement frameworks.
  • Monitor live campaigns for performance trends, troubleshooting issues and recommending optimizations as needed.
  • Maintain up-to-date campaign documentation, schedules, and deliverables.

Performance Analysis & Optimization

  • Analyze campaign performance data to generate insights and recommendations for ongoing improvement.
  • Prepare clear, actionable reporting that demonstrates media effectiveness and ties back to client business goals.
  • Lead client calls and campaign performance reviews to communicate results, share insights, and recommend optimizations in a clear, actionable way.
  • Identify opportunities to refine targeting, channel mix, and investment allocations to maximize results.
  • Contribute to the growth of client relationships by providing strategic counsel and proactive ideas that add value.
  • Stay current on media trends, audience behaviors, and emerging platforms to ensure client strategies remain competitive.
  • Support the Media Director and team leads with special projects, vendor communications, and partnership opportunities.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of media planning experience within a digital or integrated advertising agency.
  • Strong understanding of digital, social, and programmatic media channels.
  • Experience translating client goals into actionable media plans and tactics.
  • Solid grasp of audience research, media math, and performance analytics.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to engage clients and internal teams.
  • Collaborative spirit and proactive problem-solver with attention to detail.
