Social News Producer

Join the digital media industry leader in Los Angeles, CA for a full‑time, onsite position. The role involves creating and publishing multimedia content across social media platforms, with a focus on short‑form videos, graphics and event coverage.

Base pay: $70,000 – $80,000 per year

Location: Los Angeles, CA (onsite, 5 days a week) – open to relocation.

Responsibilities

• Package and publish content across social platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, Threads and others.
• Create short‑form videos, graphics, memes and social‑first content optimized for engagement.
• Film, edit, and produce video from live events, interviews, and in‑house programming.
• Pitch and execute timely and trending content ideas aligned with news cycles.
• Engage with audiences by moderating comments and fostering meaningful interaction.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience creating multimedia content for digital or social platforms.
• Proficiency in video and photo editing tools including Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Photoshop, CapCut, and Canva.
• Strong news judgment with excellent writing and copy‑editing skills.
• Deep understanding of social media trends, best practices, and emerging platforms.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and during breaking news as needed.
