Overview The Role: Activity Therapist – conducts activity therapy to improve functioning, independence, and overall well‑being for all patients. The position is full‑time with varied shifts.

Responsibilities

Conduct activity assessments on patients.

Lead and facilitate therapeutic activity groups.

Maintain the health and safety of patients during activities.

Complete and document evaluations of patient progress.

Participate in the treatment team.

Qualifications

Education: Master’s Degree in Art Therapy, Music Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, or a Bachelor’s Degree in an associated discipline with Certified Recreation Therapist (CTRS) certification.

Licensure/Certification: Registered Art Therapist, Certified Music Therapist, Registered Occupational Therapist, Registered Physical Therapist, Certified Recreation Therapist, or Certified Yoga Instructor.

Experience: Two (2) years’ experience providing Activity Therapy, preferably in a psychiatric setting with children, adolescents, and adult populations.
