Role Overview The Assistant Community Manager reports to the Community Manager and oversees daily operations and financial functions of a housing community. Key responsibilities include rent collection, financial reporting, staff supervision, leasing, maintenance, and compliance with company policies, safety, and fair housing regulations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Financial Management: Post and reconcile payments; manage receivables; handle bad‑debt follow‑up; support budgeting and NOI; maintain accurate records; coordinate end‑of‑month closings.

Personnel Management: Screen, hire, train, coach, and supervise onsite staff; ensure compliance with training benchmarks; promote staff performance and harmony.

Leasing Management: Acquire and process leases; conduct marketing strategies; handle resident complaints; implement retention programs; perform showings and move‑ins.

Administrative Management: Manage service requests; maintain property appearance; supervise operations; handle vendor procurement and budgeting.

Education & Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred or 2+ years in housing management.

Basic computer and property‑management software skills.

Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Physical Requirements

Regular standing or sitting; occasional lifting (up to 25 lb); ability to navigate ladders, stairs, and confined spaces; work overtime and weekends as needed.

Compensation & Benefits Pay range: $25 to $26 per hour. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, accident & disability insurance; a 401(k) with employer match; paid sick days and company holidays; commission and performance bonuses where applicable.

Salary Range $25 per hour to $26 per hour
