Our client is a leading independent elevator maintenance, repair, and modernization provider in the Carolinas and Virginia. With a core focus on Elevating Excellence, they continue to grow and are seeking a highly motivated individual for the role of Regional Business Developer in Richmond, VA. As a Regional Business Developer, you will be responsible for achieving sales goals and driving new business growth in Richmond and the surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will consistently submit a high volume of proposals to potential clients and follow up diligently to secure new business. Proactively seeking out new customer leads, meeting with clients to understand available solutions, and proposing effective strategies to secure new accounts will be essential. Candidates must be self-motivated, possess excellent customer service skills, maintain a positive attitude, and demonstrate strong communication skills. Responsibilities: Prospect and Generate Leads: Identify potential clients through research, referrals, networking, and industry events. Cold call or reach out to prospects through email, phone calls, or in-person visits to initiate contact. Needs Assessment: Conduct thorough consultations with clients to understand their specific elevator requirements. Analyze and evaluate existing elevator systems or recommend new installations based on client needs. Product Knowledge: Stay up to date on the latest elevator technologies, features, and safety regulations. Be able to explain product benefits and features to clients effectively. Solution Presentation: Prepare and deliver presentations and proposals that outline elevator solutions tailored to the client's needs. Address client concerns and questions regarding product performance, pricing, and maintenance. Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and payment schedules to secure orders. Work with sales management to create customized offers that meet both the client's needs and company profitability goals. Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction. Provide post-sale support and address any concerns or issues promptly. Work closely with engineers, project managers, and other team members to ensure the successful implementation of elevator projects. Market Research: Keep abreast of market trends, competitor offerings, and industry changes to maintain a competitive edge. Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales contracts. Provide regular reports to management on sales performance and forecasts. Travel: Travel to meet clients, attend industry events, and conduct site visits as required. Requirements: Must demonstrate superior communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional demeanor. Ability to foster and develop teamwork effectively. Ability to conduct financial analysis for sound sales decision-making. Self-motivated with effective prospecting outside the office. Ability to lead and sponsor change initiatives. Strong persuasive skills to close deals. Logical problem-solving and data collection skills. Effective organization and time-management to handle multiple tasks. High integrity and strong work ethic.
