Job Title: Senior PR Manager

Overview: The Senior PR Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping, executing, and elevating integrated communications strategies for a dynamic, high‑profile portfolio of client accounts. This leader owns the strategic vision and tactical delivery of public relations campaigns—driving media coverage, managing complex influencer programs, overseeing editorial direction, and producing best‑in‑class events that amplify brand narratives.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Internal Communication

  • Lead, oversee, and ensure flawless execution across 6–7 client accounts.
  • Serve as the ultimate point of accountability for client satisfaction, strategic alignment, and campaign performance.
  • Manage and mentor multiple direct reports (Managers, Coordinators, Assistants), creating development plans, setting performance expectations, and providing ongoing feedback.
  • Drive internal communication and workflow efficiency across accounts, ensuring agency resources are deployed effectively.

Client Strategy & Planning

  • Own the creation and delivery of 360 annual communications strategies for each client.
  • Lead client planning initiatives, set long-term objectives, and oversee integration of PR efforts into overall brand roadmaps.
  • Act as a senior strategic partner to client executives—anticipating needs, identifying opportunities, and providing actionable counsel that drives measurable business outcomes.

Editorial & Media Relations

  • Design and implement advanced, multi‑channel editorial strategies that deliver consistent, high‑impact coverage across top‑tier print, digital, and social outlets.
  • Leverage deep media relationships to secure premium placements, while guiding junior team members in cultivating their own networks.
  • Provide executive‑level oversight of editorial calendars, press material quality, and media outreach priorities.

Pitching & Media Outreach

  • Oversee the development of creative, timely pitches for launches, thought leadership, and trend stories.
  • Guide account teams in tailoring outreach for diverse media formats—including traditional, digital, podcast, and emerging platforms.
  • Act as the lead contact for top‑tier journalists and decision‑makers, ensuring timely responses and securing premium opportunities.

Influencer Partnerships & Integration

  • Direct large‑scale, integrated influencer programs across macro, micro, and celebrity tiers—managing both paid and organic initiatives.
  • Oversee all aspects from vetting and contracting through activation and post‑campaign analysis.
  • Partner with client‑side marketing, eComm, retail, and CRM teams to ensure influencer activity supports brand objectives, product priorities, and revenue goals.

Gifting & Seeding Programs

  • Lead the strategic vision and execution for influencer gifting programs—ensuring they drive engagement, align with cultural moments, and generate measurable ROI.
  • Establish best practices for tracking, reporting, and optimizing programs based on performance data.

Event Planning & Activation

  • Serve as the senior lead on high‑profile brand events, from ideation through execution.
  • Oversee budget allocation, creative direction, run‑of‑show, and vendor negotiations.
  • Leverage personal industry network to secure premium venues, partnerships, and experiential elements that enhance brand impact.

Content Development

  • Provide senior oversight and final approval on press releases, media directives, pitches, and client‑facing reports.
  • Maintain exceptional editorial quality, ensuring alignment with brand voice and positioning.
  • Mentor team members in developing materials that achieve placement in top‑tier outlets.

Market & Cultural Insight

  • Stay ahead of media trends, competitor moves, and cultural shifts to proactively guide client strategy.
  • Use industry influence and network access to secure early opportunities and position clients as category leaders.

Cross‑Functional Client Collaboration

  • Function as an embedded senior partner within client organizations, collaborating with senior marketing, merchandising, digital, and executive teams.
  • Ensure PR strategies integrate seamlessly with broader business initiatives. Maintain regular, high‑level client communication, providing strategic recommendations and performance updates.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Oversee reporting across all accounts, ensuring metrics directly connect to client business goals.
  • Review and refine reporting processes to highlight ROI and competitive benchmarks.
  • Introduce new measurement tools and methodologies to keep the agency’s reporting best‑in‑class.

Budget & Project Management

  • Fully own account budgets and resource planning, balancing creative ambition with fiscal responsibility.
  • Lead cross‑functional project teams to deliver campaigns on time, on budget, and above client expectations.

Salary: $100,000-$115,000
