Description Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Director of AMER Consulting Partners to lead our consulting partner ecosystem strategy across the Americas region. In this role, you will drive growth of our consulting partner relationships, develop go-to-market strategies, and ensure partners deliver exceptional customer outcomes using AWS services. This role aligns horizontally across all US AGS leaders and owns the development and acceleration of US consulting partners (SI/GSI/BCAP). You’ll work in concert with the Consulting Partner COE leader to determine the strategy, goaling, resource allocation, and required mechanisms to ensure the ultimate success of the cohort across the Americas GEO.

The AWS Partner Network (APN) is the global partner program for Amazon Web Services. It is focused on helping partners build successful AWS-based businesses by providing business, technical, marketing, and go-to-market support. Our program includes tens of thousands of Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) and Systems Integrators (SIs) around the world with AWS expertise.

Key job responsibilities

Lead the strategy and execution for AWS consulting partner programs across North America

Develop and manage relationships with key consulting partners to drive AWS adoption and customer success

Create and implement partner enablement programs to increase partner capabilities and certifications

Collaborate with AWS sales, solutions architecture, and product teams to align partner activities with AWS priorities

Establish metrics and KPIs to measure partner performance and business impact

Manage a team of partner development managers across the Americas region

Represent AWS at industry events and partner executive engagements

Drive joint business planning with strategic consulting partners to establish growth targets and investment priorities

Identify opportunities to expand partner-led AWS services adoption in target industries and market segments

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

10+ years of experience in technology management, consulting, or enterprise sales

5+ years of people management experience leading distributed teams

Proven track record building and growing partner ecosystems in enterprise technology

Experience developing and executing complex go-to-market strategies

Strong negotiation and relationship management skills at the executive level

Ability to travel up to 30% within the Americas region

Preferred Qualifications MBA or Master's degree in a relevant field

Experience working with global systems integrators, consulting firms, and managed service providers

Knowledge of cloud computing technologies and services

Understanding of AWS partner programs and certification frameworks

Experience in channel development within enterprise software or cloud services

Demonstrated success in driving business growth through partner ecosystems

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $232,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $345,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
