Summary:
This position is ideal for a high-performing commercial banker who thrives in both business development and relationship management. You’ll serve middle-market companies (typically with revenues between $50MM and $500MM) by managing an existing portfolio while actively pursuing new C&I lending opportunities. Success in this role requires strong credit skills, a consultative approach, and the ability to deliver a broad range of financial solutions.
Responsibilities
Develop and manage a portfolio of commercial clients through proactive business development and relationship management.
Prospect and close new Commercial & Industrial (C&I) lending opportunities, with a focus on middle-market clients.
Act as both a hunter and farmer, responsible for growing your own book while also managing and expanding an assigned portfolio.
Lead strategic conversations with clients to understand business goals and recommend tailored financial solutions.
Collaborate with internal specialists (e.g., treasury, trust, and card services) to deliver comprehensive client service.
Assess credit risk, analyze financial statements, and structure loan terms accordingly.
Maintain and grow existing relationships through consultative engagement and cross‑selling.
Stay current on industry trends, regional economic conditions, and regulatory changes impacting clients.
Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, cultivating long‑term partnerships.
Required Skills
5+ years of sales experience, including 2+ years in commercial banking.
Strong credit analysis background and working knowledge of commercial lending structures.
Familiarity with a wide range of financial products including treasury management, virtual card, and trust services.
Interest in and understanding of various industries and what drives business success.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
Resilient, driven, and adaptable, with a commitment to high performance.
Experience in gaming, tribal, or public‑sector lending is a plus.
