Job Title Property Manager, Multifamily (Affordable)

Overview Affordable Multifamily Property Managers maintain community standards, motivate teams, and maximize property performance in a fast‑paced environment. The role focuses on operations, tenant service, revenue management, and leadership.

Responsibilities

Oversee all operations: maintenance, lease administration, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, collections, evictions, vacancy anticipation, marketing, lease renewals, service contracts, expense control, audits.

Provide superior customer service to residents and prospects, enhancing satisfaction, renewals, revenue, reputation, and profitability.

Track and evaluate advertising and client traffic.

Develop, mentor, lead, and manage a high‑performing team across leasing, customer service, maintenance, and management personnel.

Drive revenues through competitive analysis and creative marketing programs.

Lead by example, instilling C&W mission and modeling best management practices.

Supervise day‑to‑day operations of the on‑site team, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.

Recruit, interview, hire, and coach staff as needed.

Maintain resident files per company standards.

Maintain a positive community environment with timely conflict resolution.

Manage all aspects of community budget and finances.

Work with leasing staff to meet leasing/marketing goals.

Competencies

Effective communication and customer service skills.

Computer literacy: Microsoft Office Suite and internet navigation.

General office, bookkeeping, and sales skills with excellent written and oral communication.

Goal‑setting and performance improvement for leasing staff.

Team management and SOP adherence.

Ability to perform related duties as requested.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Real Estate License preferred.

Experience

3+ years as an Affordable Multifamily Property Manager in NYC (NYCHA, HDC, PACT) required.

Strong preference for Yardi systems experience.

Strong preference for bilingual Spanish communication skillset.

Work Environment Professional office setting with standard equipment. Occasional travel required.

Physical Demands Stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs. Travel up to 15% of time. Perform office duties for 85% of time.

Compensation $97,750.00 – $115,000.00. Competitive pay based on location, experience, and qualifications.
