Personnel Management and Leadership – Teach, mentor and lead District Maintenance Technicians in-person and remotely. Communicate with Executive Leadership, Regional Vice Presidents, Regional Managers and Gym Operations personnel appropriately. Outside Vendor Management – Identify, evaluate, establish and maintain relationships with key outside vendors who will service locations (Cleaning, HVAC, Electric, Plumbing, etc.). Communicate and coordinate with landlords for all major repairs. Ensure Quality Assurance for facilities. Provide support for projects as needed. Complete scheduled preventative maintenance on all building systems. Expert in all functions and systems of the fitness facility. Manage and close FMX tickets. Maintain a clean and organized inventory. Complete troubleshooting and basic repairs not requiring trade licenses such as plumbing fixtures, light fixtures, bulb replacement, sheet rock, painting touch ups, wall finishes, flooring, trim, door handles, millwork, pool mechanics and all other basic fixtures, HVAC units/sensors/t‑stats, AV systems/TVs. Address concerns on social media platforms as they relate to facilities maintenance (e.g., Yelp reviews, member comments and inquiries). Technical Knowledge Requirements
Project coordination and scheduling. Vendor evaluation abilities – evaluate bids, estimates and invoicing. Knowledge of how major mechanical systems work (HVAC, plumbing, electric, etc.). Ability to evaluate major mechanical systems and assess potential maintenance issues. Knowledge of Energy Management systems and procedures. Basic knowledge of architectural drawings as well as mechanical, electrical and plumbing. Diligence and a strong understanding of liability issues, general safety, and personal and/or public injury. Financial – ability to interpret budgets and provide recommendations. Administration – understanding the function of the accounting/payroll departments and people management. Ability to exercise sound judgment when identifying and assessing gym maintenance and housekeeping needs. Technology – computer literacy, extensive experience with CMMS systems and resource management. Utilize software, financial software, and project management software. Qualification Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of maintenance management experience. Minimum of 1 year of leadership/management experience. Minimum of 1 year of multi‑unit management; regional maintenance manager may oversee up to 25 locations depending on the market. Understanding and commitment to all aspects of customer service. High standards regarding gym/site cleanliness and presentation. Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing, for interacting with employees, management and vendors. Excellent relationship building and influencing skills with people at all levels and in all functions. Strong attention to detail; systematic and thorough problem‑solving approach; good time management, organization and record‑keeping skills. Excellent MS Office skills, particularly Excel. Alignment with and embodiment of our core values. Experience / Certifications / Educational / Requirements
3 years managing facility/housekeeping/maintenance experience. Licenses/certifications (preferred but not mandatory). CFM Certification or CPO Certification. OSHA Certified/Trained. Spanish bilingual preferred. CPR and AED certification required. Pass a background check. Valid driver’s license. Physical Requirements
Work in club office; move about club floors and rooms; review, revise, create club paperwork; communicate with employees, members and the public. Use computer systems including document preparation, data entry, report reading and e‑mail. Regularly bend and lift more than 50 lbs. Available 24/7 for emergencies, including environmental disasters. Assist with club closing to meet legal, safety, risk and environmental regulations. Use commercial cleaning products and equipment (vacuum, pressure washer, wet vac, compressed air, chemicals). Salary Pay Range
