Job Overview As a

Senior Construction Recruiter

at OneElmington, your primary goal is to identify and retain top talent for our Construction business team. You will drive our ongoing efforts to source and onboard exceptional candidates, strengthen our employment brand, and foster positive relationships with both candidates and employees.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Proven experience sourcing and selecting top talent for a variety of key construction roles including: Superintendents, Senior Project Managers, Corporate Leadership, Regional Manager, Senior Procurement Manager, Pre-Development Manager, etc.

Preference for multi-family construction experience, but not a requirement

Align with leadership on key workforce planning, hiring needs, and project plan timing to ensure timely delivery of talent

Lead employer branding efforts to attract top field and office talent

Manage end-to-end recruitment activities, including sourcing, screening, selection, and offer coordination for construction roles at all levels

Clearly communicate interview logistics, expectations, and role requirements to candidates and hiring teams

Serve as the primary liaison between candidates and construction leadership, providing regular updates and maintaining strong communication throughout the hiring process

Maintain candidate engagement from first contact through offer acceptance, ensuring timely follow-ups and check-ins

Represent the company at job fairs, career expos, workforce development events, and trade school visits to build talent pipelines

Utilize the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) within Paycor Recruiting to track candidate processes, manage candidate data, track hiring progress, and ensure timely updates

Ensure accuracy and compliance in all ATS records, including interview notes, offer letters, and hiring documentation

Uphold full compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, safety standards, and internal hiring policies throughout the recruitment lifecycle

Maintain organized documentation for candidate files within the Applicant Tracking System

Continuously assess and suggest improvements to the recruitment process to enhance efficiency and the overall candidate experience

Essential Job Functions

Execute and deliver in alignment with project plans and timelines

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and leadership

Outstanding organizational skills to manage multiple priorities, tasks, and deadlines efficiently

Proactively source construction talent through a variety of channels, including industry-specific job boards, trade schools, referrals, social media, and other platforms

Stay current with construction labor market trends, wage benchmarks, certification requirements, and recruitment best practices to better support workforce planning

Perform other duties as assigned

Specific Education Or Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field is helpful, though not required

5 years minimum experience in Talent Acquisition in the construction industry. 5-10 years preferred

Experience in Applicant Tracking Systems, LinkedIn, and Indeed

Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate

Temperature in the workplace is typically moderate, though the ability to withstand seasonal cold and heat of the outdoors is necessary

Travel Requirements

Travel up to 15% of the time for Career Fairs and Job Fairs
