Job Purpose and Impact: This role provides industry expertise to key internal and external accounts regarding nutritional solutions and technology, enhancing commercial growth potential.
Location and travel: Home‑office based. Candidates must reside in or be willing to relocate to Washington, Oregon, Nevada, Arizona, California, Idaho, New Mexico, Texas, or Kansas and live near a major airport. Up to 75% travel required.
Key Accountabilities
Serve as point of contact for nutrition & health expertise and influence prospective customers.
Partner with regional commercial teams to achieve trusted advisor status and drive value added focus.
Assess new business opportunities and identify priorities in the innovation pipeline.
Prepare project data and conclusions for internal and customer presentations.
Develop training resources to improve sales effectiveness.
Provide expert thought leadership with limited direction, using research to identify issues or provide guidance to team members.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Master’s degree, Doctorate, or Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree.
Minimum 6 years of related work experience in technical sales, business development, or related field.
Experience in dairy industry, ruminant nutrition, or animal nutrition.
Willingness to travel up to 75%.
Valid driver’s license in good standing.
Preferred Qualifications
Sales experience in animal nutrition, feed, animal health, additives, or supplements.
Experience providing technical support to dairies, nutritionists, and veterinarians.
Compensation Expected salary: $130,000 – $180,000, varying by location, qualifications, experience. Eligible for discretionary incentive award.
