Job Summary Acrisure is seeking an Account Executive to join our growing team.
In this role you will manage and grow a portfolio of commercial clients, ensuring their insurance needs are met with precision and professionalism.
You will leverage your expertise in insurance sales and marketing to develop tailored solutions that maximize client value and foster long‑term relationships. As an Account Executive you will collaborate closely with Client Advisors to acquire and retain clients, execute the Total Client Sales Process, act as the primary point of contact for clients, develop action plans to reach client goals, and suggest potential upgrades to grow or diversify the portfolio.
Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong, trust‑based relationships with clients and prospects
Identify new business opportunities and cross‑sell additional products and services
Consistently meet and exceed individual sales goals and revenue targets through account rounding and prospecting new business from existing clients and identified target groups
Conduct thorough needs assessments and deliver customized insurance and total client solutions
Negotiate terms and coverage with underwriters and carriers
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies
Provide exceptional customer service and support throughout the client lifecycle
Collect detailed risk and underwriting information, including survey data and loss history
Develop and deliver formal proposals of insurance, including coverage, limits, deductibles, and other pertinent details
Collaborate with Account Manager to ensure complete company submissions and account service, including claims issues
Put together industry‑standard ACORD applications via the Agency Management System, review loss runs, and develop a narrative of the account with claims data analytics and metrics
Secure quotes, negotiate premiums and commissions, and prepare proposals and corresponding presentations
Bind coverage, prepare binders, and delegate certificates
Provide contract review and process policy changes with corresponding documents
Utilize carrier websites for rating, billing, processing changes, and loss retrieval
Meet with clients as needed or directed by client advisor
Participate in carrier/wholesaler meetings for relationship development
Serve as technical expert, assisting insureds and department members to resolve complex issues
Requirements
Able to function independently and as part of a team
Fully competent in applying established standards, working with guidance or direct supervision by exception
Demonstrated ability to lead projects and teams effectively, including delegating tasks, coordinating efforts, and ensuring timely completion of objectives
Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, including correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation in correspondence
High level of understanding of accounting or strong math skills
High degree of critical thinking and problem‑solving ability when answers are not readily apparent
Attention to detail, producing outcomes with minimal errors
Adaptability to change in direction and priority in a fast‑paced environment
Advanced proficiency with technology, including MS Office
Knowledge of Agency Management Systems; Applied Epic a plus
Compliance with continuing education requirements for agent licensing and professional designations
Continuous learning of industry information, new production information, coverages, and technology to stay current
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of commercial insurance experience (or recognized equivalent) is required
Hold and maintain appropriate state Property and Casualty Insurance license(s); obtain within 90 days of hire date if not already held
Initiate, obtain, and maintain advanced designations such as CIC, CPCU, or equivalent
Pay Details The base compensation range for this position is $45,000 – $110,000. Placement within the range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, location, and internal equity.
Candidates should be comfortable with an on‑site presence to support collaboration, team leadership, and cross‑functional partnership.
