The Field Construction Coordinator plays a crucial role in construction projects at Mears Broadband. The FCC acts as a liaison between the field and project teams to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient project execution. Ensure that all construction operations are completed in accordance with customer and industry specifications Ensure all employees working on the project are working safely and productively Provide OJT training on construction practices and methods Assign daily production to in-house and subcontract laborers and crews Requisition, assign and track materials needed for the daily operations Perform audits of construction operations to ensure work is being completed in compliance with project specifications and monitor safe work practices Resolve complaints with property owners in areas where our personnel are working All other duties assigned KEY QUALIFICATIONS
Technical Knowledge:
Understanding construction drawings, specifications, and techniques in the installation of Coax and Fiber Optic networks Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with various stakeholders Organizational Skills:
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and maintain accurate records Problem-Solving Abilities:
Identifying and resolving issues efficiently and effectively Safety Awareness:
Thorough understanding of OSHA safety regulations and Mears Broadband procedures Experience: This position may require prior experience in “Telecommunications” construction, project coordination, or a related field Driver’s license Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, and Excel Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills Physical activity for the role includes:
Exposure to variable weather conditions, including hot and cold weather Sitting, standing, and walking for long periods, on variable terrain Lift up to 50 lbs Manual dexterity for computer and other small equipment use
