Job Description The Relationship Banker I is responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience, managing teller and transactional duties, and contributing to the financial wellness of customers.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide a consistent optimal customer experience on the cash line and handle transactional needs such as deposits, withdrawals, and payments.
Answer customer inquiries regarding products and services, and fulfill basic servicing requests including card replacements and PIN resets.
Develop relationships with customers and stay well‑informed about their banking needs.
Educate customers on standard consumer products and digital solutions such as mobile, online, and ATM services.
Assist branch and team members with basic tasks to aid in customer problem resolution.
Refer customers to internal experts for more complex financial goals and needs.
Follow all bank processes, procedures, and applicable laws, ensuring sound banking practices and risk reporting.
Achieve branch targets and goals by identifying customer needs and providing appropriate guidance.
May conduct outbound calls using generated lead lists to educate customers on emerging technology and financial services.
This position requires time tracking for hours worked in excess of 40 per week and is eligible for overtime under the Fair Labor Standards Act. The role is also incentive eligible.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED.
Ability to work Saturdays as needed.
Ability to handle cash and process cash transactions.
Effective communication skills in person, on the phone, and electronically.
Computer proficiency, including typing and sustained monitor attention.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
Preferences
At least one year of banking, cash‑handling, and/or customer service experience.
Skills and Competencies
Adherence to policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Support customers with digital banking offerings.
Handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
Oversee large amounts of cash.
Strong customer focus and relationship‑building skills.

Compensation Details
Job range target: $35,640.99 USD.
Median: $42,192.00 USD.
Eligible for performance‑based incentive pay.
