Skilled Trades Recruiter – Manufacturing

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and experienced Skilled Trades Recruiter to support a growing manufacturing client in Charlotte. This role focuses on sourcing, screening, and placing highly qualified trades professionals including maintenance technicians, machinists, electricians, and other industrial roles. You’ll play a critical part in building a strong workforce that supports production goals and plant operations. The position involves handling both white‑collar professional roles and manufacturing/plant‑floor positions, requiring strong sourcing skills, a high sense of urgency, and the ability to manage diverse requisitions ranging from engineering, operations, and administrative roles to production, machine operators, and warehouse talent.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and skill requirements
Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies through job boards, referrals, community outreach, and industry networks
Actively source passive candidates using LinkedIn, Boolean search strings, and resume database, Community Outreach
Screen resumes and conduct interviews to assess technical skills, certifications, and cultural fit
Manage the end‑to‑end recruitment process—from posting jobs and scheduling interviews to offer negotiation and onboarding coordination
Maintain accurate candidate records in the ATS and ensure compliance with EEO and internal hiring policies
Track recruiting metrics and regularly report on fill rates, pipeline status, and hiring timelines
Build a network of qualified candidates for future hiring needs in skilled trades
Participate in job fairs, technical college outreach, and other talent acquisition events
Qualifications
2+ years of experience recruiting for skilled trades roles, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment
Familiarity with trade certifications, safety requirements, and machinery/equipment terminology
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Proven ability to meet high‑volume hiring targets and work under tight deadlines
Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
Knowledge of Charlotte and surrounding labor market is preferred
