Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order slips and picking lists.
- Utilize handheld scanners and other warehouse technology to track inventory and update order status.
- Inspect picked items for damage or defects, reporting any issues to a supervisor.
- Pack items securely for shipment, ensuring they are protected during transit.
- Stage picked and packed orders for outbound shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all warehouse safety standards.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to PPE and safety.
- Must be comfortable with lifting items up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is preferred but not required.
- Ability to read and understand order forms and product labels.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Must be able to wear required PPE, including safety shoes and vests.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
