An established transportation organization is seeking an experienced freight brokerage professional to take ownership of customer relationships and day-to-day freight execution. This role is ideal for someone who prefers full autonomy over their accounts and enjoys being accountable for both revenue generation and service delivery.
This is not a handoff role. The right individual will manage the entire lifecycle of freight — from customer acquisition through execution and retention.
Role Overview
Develop and maintain a portfolio of shipper accounts
Independently price freight and secure carrier capacity
Execute shipments from tender to final delivery
Serve as the primary contact for customers and carriers
Resolve service issues proactively and professionally
Identify growth opportunities within existing accounts
Maintain accurate activity and performance tracking in internal systems
Required Background
Prior experience in freight brokerage or third-party logistics
Direct involvement in both sales and operations
Working knowledge of spot market pricing and capacity trends
Proven ability to manage accounts independently
Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
