Project Manager
Los Angeles, CA | Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 per year
Base pay range: $100,000 - $150,000 per year
Responsibilities
Experience with general contractors and/or subcontractors and steel fabrication/erection.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in project/construction management, field foreman in a large multi‑project environment.
Capable of working on projects ranging from $500k to $2M. Experience in planning, budgeting and directing projects with multiple trades.
Computer literate in Word, Excel, presentations, charts/graphs.
Ability to read instructions, numbers and write legibly in English.
Exceptional reliability and effectiveness in written and oral communication.
Reports to President.
Acts as the client’s day‑to‑day single point of contact during the construction phase.
Responsible for execution and management of the company’s overall project plan.
Participates in project turnover from estimating, assists in overall plan development and commits to successful execution.
Executes the project plan to meet quality, schedule and budget expectations.
Maintains continuous communication with client to review progress and discuss design changes, resolve coordination problems, schedules and priorities.
Takes lead in coordinating with all internal departments (sales, estimating, detailing, accounting, purchasing, shop fabrication, field installation, senior management).
Ensures clear and concise RFIs are resolved and field dimensions verified.
Informs each production department of budgeted hours and delivery dates.
Coordinates vendor subcontracts for assigned projects.
Provides weekly production schedule updates for each project.
Reviews detailing and purchasing budget status at least weekly.
Develops project forecasts, schedules, change‑order estimates, financial reports and reconciles all commitments exceeding budgets.
Monitors job costs weekly, reviews monthly WIP with senior management.
Responsible for sub‑contractor billing, SOV and monthly billing information to accounting.
Maintains excellent project records, reports, logbooks and daily forms.
Completes all remaining documentation in accordance with the sub‑contract for project closeout.
Demobilizes project and announces its completion to management.
Assists President in managing projects.
