A leading global financial services firm in Los Angeles is seeking a results-driven AVP of Business Transformation. The individual will play a key role in driving transformation across the organization. This role sits within the Business Transformation team and is ideal for someone who excels at building structure, leading cross-functional change, and delivering high-impact process and technology initiatives.
*$180-$220K in Total Comp (base + full annual bonus)*
*3 days/week in office*
Responsibilities The Director will own end-to-end delivery of strategic projects that modernize how Finance Operations works—spanning process redesign, technology deployments, operating model enhancements, and data-driven decision support.
Will be a hands‑on advisor, facilitator, and problem‑solver across business stakeholders, IT, and third‑party partners.
Act as a liaison between business teams, IT, and vendors—aligning priorities, managing expectations, and ensuring progress
Provide hands‑on support to stakeholders to unblock issues, drive alignment, and maintain project momentum
Navigate differing viewpoints across departments, build consensus, and guide teams toward shared outcomes
Tailor communication style and presentation approach to various audiences, including senior leadership
Gather, analyze, and synthesize complex information; develop clear, persuasive materials for decision‑making
Work with leadership to operationalize strategic initiatives through strong project management discipline—scoping, planning, objectives & key results, deliverables, and routines
Create project plans, charters, success metrics, artifacts, and documentation
Plan and facilitate working sessions with business and IT
Co‑develop new processes with business stakeholders and deliver BAU training
Manage risks, issues, and escalation paths to maintain accountability
Lead working sessions to capture end‑to‑end business processes and drive clarity
Serve as SME for assigned processes, procedures, or technology
Identify operational improvement opportunities and provide actionable recommendations
Operate as a player‑coach—balancing leadership with hands‑on execution
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required in related field
8+ years of business analysis experience within financial services or management consulting
Strong background in project management, change management, advisory, or process improvement
Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving skills
Ability to thrive in ambiguity and create structure where it doesn’t exist
Experience working with large data sets, reconciliations, and logical data structures
Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Confluence and Visio
Strong communication skills, with the ability to adapt to diverse audiences and influence without authority
