Job Opportunity: Columbiana, OhioOur client is looking for a Sales Engineer to join their team. Our client is a manufacturer of galvanizing kettles and related products to the continuous strip and hot-dip galvanizing industries. They manufacture specialty horizontal and vertical cylinders, tanks and DOT and ASME pressure vessels to transport pressurized gases and liquids in various capacities.The Sales Engineer will be responsible for supporting the sales team by explaining complex technical products and services to customers, translating their needs into product specifications, and providing post-sales support.

Job Requirements

5 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.

Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering is required.

5 years experience with ASME or AAR pressure containing vessels design and requirements.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to be applied in design, troubleshooting, and manufacturing systems.

Gather and organize information to assist in developing designs, specifications, and drawings of equipment.

Provide estimating support for RFQ / Proposals, working closely with Sales and Project Management departments to ensure the technical aspects of the estimate are accurate.

Understanding of tolerancing and process capability and the impact on designs.

Demonstrated ability to efficiently produce and maintain mechanical designs and manufacturing drawings.

Demonstrated ability to meet timelines and specifications for design process projects as assigned. Important to be able to simultaneously organize and successfully execute multiple project responsibilities is a must.

Excellent interpersonal, mathematical, verbal, written, and presentation skills. Ability to work both independently as well as with the team.

SOLIDWORKS proficiency.

AutoCAD proficiency.

Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Pronest proficiency.

Responsibilities/Duties

Product development and design.

Project management, including defining projects and developing project plans and schedules.

Design in 2D & 3D in Solidworks and AutoCAD software.

Testing & Implementation of design components.

Modify and maintain drawings and designs.

Support production shop with engineering input and documentation.

Create and maintain BOM and drawing sets.

Ensure compliance with engineering design standards and industry specifications.

Provide drawings and nesting in Pronest for our manufacturing group.
