Immunohematology Sales Specialist (Account Executive) – Capital Lab Equipment Sales (MI, OH, NY)
Join Grifols in this account executive role overseeing the territories of Michigan, Northern Ohio, and Western New York. The Sales Specialist will build and manage long‑term customer relationships with hospitals, IDNs, and health systems, driving sales of immunohematology instruments and reagents while ensuring customer satisfaction.
Primary Responsibilities
Build strategic customer relationships favoring company product offerings across local, regional, and national levels.
Identify account priorities and translate them into business strategies in collaboration with field teams.
Demonstrate a broad comprehension of customer needs, market trends, industry challenges, and competing products.
Present the portfolio, services, and solutions to customers.
Secure and coordinate resources to communicate and reinforce value proposition.
Develop detailed account plans, forecasts, and operating calendars that guide weekly activities.
Maximize revenue, profit goals, and account profitability for the assigned sales territory.
Identify new opportunities for future strategic and operational sales.
Ensure effective use of budget allocation, strategic planning, travel, and expenses.
Monitor AR aging and ensure timely customer payments.
Generate sales reports to achieve sales and operating income targets.
Maintain contract compliance and inventory levels at obligated amounts.
Generate accurate monthly sales and accrual forecasts.
Achieve 100 % plan of annual sales and operating income objectives.
Maintain accurate sales pipeline and forecast to close.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Prior knowledge of accounts in the defined territory.
Hunter mentality with experience in a commission‑oriented environment.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work well in a team and independently.
Ability to manage sales pipeline and budgets.
Laboratory/diagnostics experience (preferred).
Education Bachelor’s degree required.
Experience 5+ years of documented success selling capital laboratory equipment in acute‑care hospital settings and IDNs, evidenced by stack rankings, awards, and commendations.
Pay Scale and Benefits Estimated pay: $113,711 to $135,000 per year, plus a $45,000 uncapped commission target. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, PTO, up to 5 % 401(k) match, tuition reimbursement, and opportunities for professional growth.
