Overview
Business Tax Services - Private Tax Partnerships - Manager at EY. Location: Anywhere in Country. The EY Private Tax practice focuses on privately held companies, from family-owned and private equity-owned entities to high-growth private companies. You will work on technically demanding tax planning and compliance projects with opportunities to progress toward senior manager. Your Key Responsibilities
Support senior managers through partners in providing tax services. Balance time between compliance and planning, interacting directly with clients. Work with clients focused on flow-through entities (partnerships) to become a trusted advisor and role model across teams. Build long-term relationships with clients and understand their needs to provide tailored service. Communicate complex tax issues to non-tax professionals and clients. Maintain and share technical knowledge and best practices within the team. Manage, coach, and develop a team of tax professionals, reviewing work and ensuring they have needed tools and opportunities. Identify and address risks and opportunities to improve services and processes. Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in a related field, with tax, business or financial planning experience. A CPA certification or membership in The Bar. Excellent collaboration and negotiation skills, with the confidence to challenge colleagues and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds. Minimum of 5 years of work experience in professional services or professional tax organizations. Willingness to work in a balanced hybrid environment and travel as needed. Preferred Skills
Commitment to continuing learning. Proficiency with tax software such as RIA, CCH IntelliConnect, OneSource, BNA or LexisNexis. Experience with Gift, Estate and Trust tax planning and compliance is a plus. Experience in managing, coaching and mentoring junior colleagues. What We Look For
