Overview Business Tax Services- Private Tax Partnerships - Manager role at EY. Location: Anywhere in Country. The opportunity EY Private Tax is a growing practice focusing on privately held companies, from family-owned businesses to private equity owned companies. These high growth private companies range from start-ups to multi-billion-dollar global entities. You will work on technically demanding tax planning and compliance projects, with opportunities to progress to senior manager. Your Key Responsibilities Support senior managers through partners in providing tax services. Balance time between compliance and planning, interacting directly with clients. Focus on flow through entities (partnerships) and build trusted-advisor relationships across teams. Identify and communicate significant tax matters to Managers and Senior Managers. Liaise with other service lines and subject matter professionals. Build long-term relationships with clients, understanding their needs to provide tailored service. Communicate complex tax issues to non-tax professionals and clients. Maintain professional knowledge and share technical insights. Manage, coach and develop a team of tax professionals, reviewing work and ensuring colleagues have tools and opportunities to excel. Identify and respond to risks and opportunities to improve services and processes. Skills And Attributes For Success To qualify for the role, you must have A bachelor’s degree in a related field, with tax, business or financial planning experience. A CPA certification or membership in The Bar. Excellent collaboration and negotiation skills, with the confidence to challenge colleagues and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds. Minimum of 5 years of work experience in professional services or professional tax organization. Ability to work in a balanced hybrid environment and willingness to travel as needed. Ideally, you will have Commitment to continuing learning. Proficiency with tax software such as RIA, CCH IntelliConnect, OneSource, BNA or Lexis Nexis. Experience with Gift, Estate and Trust tax planning and compliance is a plus. Experience in managing, coaching and mentoring junior colleagues.
