Centre Lead Radiographer – MRI and X‑ray
Location: The Basinghall Clinic, Basinghall Street, London EC2V 5BQ
Department: Radiology – MRI and X‑ray
Contract: Permanent, Full‑time (37.5 hours per week, Monday‑Friday)

About The Basinghall Clinic The Basinghall Clinic has a Siemens 1.5T MRI supporting multiple specialties in a one‑stop pathway with pre‑booked patients. The superintendent will have direct line management to radiographers rotating through the department and will also cover a Siemens X‑ray room as required.

Responsibilities
Supervise a team of radiographers undertaking modality‑specific imaging procedures
Undertake MRI scans in line with existing modality‑specific clinical guidelines and protocols
Maintain high clinical standards in patient care, clinical risk and H&S, ensuring compliance to CQC, MRSA and IRMER guidelines
Maintain competence in general X‑ray as required
Conduct competency assessments at regular intervals, identifying and supporting development needs
Be actively involved in recruitment, appointment and induction of new clinical staff
Arrange rotas for clinical staff where required
Ensure smooth communication within the team to deliver a high‑quality service
Deal with day‑to‑day staff queries and liaise with support functions to resolve issues within a reasonable timeframe
Take ownership of governance activities (audits, personal development, team meetings) with colleague support
Assist with booking appointments and work closely with radiologists
Collaborate with Cromwell Hospital for support and alliance where required
Qualifications & Skills
DCR(R) or BSc in Radiography (essential)
HCPC registered (essential)
Extensive experience in MRI (essential)
Extensive experience in X‑ray (essential)
Demonstrable experience leading a service (essential)
