Job Description As our Continuous Improvement Specialist for our manufacturing and distribution facility, you’ll take ownership of your initiatives from start to finish, spearheading analysis, planning, and execution with minimal oversight. In this role, you help establish and maintain the quality and performance feedback loop, ensuring inefficiencies are spotted early, communicated clearly, and resolved through structured continuous process improvement practices. Working cross-functionally, you’ll ensure that workflow optimization ideas are tested, refined, adopted, and sustained throughout the organization.
Responsibilities Here are some examples of the actual work your day would include.
Lead continuous business process improvement projects that reduce waste, enhance efficiency and quality, and guide initiatives from opportunity identification through execution and results monitoring
Analyze and interpret data from multiple sources to identify trends, root causes, and key inputs for operational decisions; determine appropriate review frequency and develop data systems that improve visibility and decision‑making speed
Accelerate the rollout of process updates while taking accountability for resolving quality issues, investigating OFIs, identifying root causes, defining clear step‑by‑step actions, and driving solutions through to completion
Utilize LEAN Six Sigma and kaizen methodologies to identify process bottlenecks and implement improvements
Establish and maintain quality improvement systems that are functional, measurable, and adaptable to TPG’s unique operations
Review returns and credits data for spikes or patterns that signal process or quality concerns, proactively identifying issues before they escalate
Collaborate with internal teams to propose and implement solutions across sales channels, technology, and the repair center
Skill Set To be successful in this role, you need to have a certain amount of knowledge and skills:
5 years of experience in a manufacturing and distribution environment with a proven track record of creating continuous improvement
Strong analytical and statistical skills with experience in data trend analysis and process optimization
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work across multiple teams and departments
Previous exposure to Six Sigma and LEAN principles and understanding of the methodologies
Practical, results‑oriented mindset with the ability to shift between strategic analysis and hands‑on implementation
This position requires manual dexterity for working with small components, the ability to complete repetitive motions for long periods of time, bending, continual lifting, lowering, and carrying packages that typically weigh 25‑50 lb., and managing packages up to 150 lb as well as standing/stooping for long periods of time.
As a Continuous Improvement Specialist, you’ll be the driving force behind turning data into meaningful action. About 60% of your day will be spent at your desk diving into data, managing improvement projects, and building processes that strengthen productivity, quality, and flow across the organization. The other 40% puts you on the production floor collaborating with teams, observing how work truly happens, and implementing hands‑on solutions.
Availability The regular schedule is 8 hours per day between 6:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday–Friday. Occasionally, projects may require evening or weekend hours.
