Base pay range $20.00/hr - $28.00/hr

Responsibilities Perform general maintenance projects, including installations and repairs involving plumbing, electrical equipment, fire and sprinkler equipment, HVAC, landscaping, carpentry, painting, and equipment repair Understand and have knowledge of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) Maintain and repair walls, floor coverings, doors, windows, furniture, and woodwork in common areas Basic prep and painting abilities Repair and maintain vacated rooms in a timely manner, including painting walls and cleaning carpets Handle all in‑house plumbing, e.g., sinks, toilets, and bathtubs Perform minor electrical work, e.g., light switches, wall outlets, and garbage disposals Paint all apartments and common areas Repair, clean, and maintain all carpet, floor coverings, and furniture Complete all work orders in a timely manner while noting any other work completed at the location Document safety issues and physical plant deficiencies per local, county, state, and federal guidelines Assist with preventative maintenance and cleaning of community vehicles (buses, cars, vans) Assist with training and development of safety procedures and hazard communications Perform any other duties assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor, Regional Maintenance Supervisor, or General Manager Respond immediately and appropriately to all accidents and emergencies based on established protocols
Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred (must be at least 18 years of age) 1–3 years of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Demonstrated knowledge of building maintenance, electrical, mechanical, painting, plumbing, floor care, heating, and HVAC skills Preferred knowledge of fire suppression & irrigation systems Preferred motor vehicle maintenance ability Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as necessary
Actual pay rate within the stated pay range is determined based on relevant factors in compliance with state and local wage laws.
Physical Requirements This role involves frequent standing, walking, lifting (up to 90 lbs), pushing/pulling, and other physical activities. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
