Diesel Mechanic – ECHO AFC Transportation We are the largest and fastest growing privately owned charter transportation company in Texas. We seek a qualified Diesel Technician and Bus Mechanic to join our Houston facility. The fleet consists of diesel and gas powered motor coach buses, school buses, transit buses, trolleys, mini buses and vans.

Job Type : Full-time

Mechanic Responsibilities, Duties & Qualifications

Shop operates 2 shifts, 7 days a week.

Flexible schedules.

Must work independently.

Additional training programs available.

Position is safety sensitive.

Preventive maintenance inspections, emergency and road failure repairs, general maintenance on electrical, HVAC, brake and accessory systems.

Wheelchair lift experience.

Must own basic hand tools.

Understanding of diesel engines, tires, air brake systems, HVAC and electrical systems and perform preventive maintenance and repair in all aspects.

Document all work completed and parts used.

Mechanic Requirements

At least 2 years experience or technical training working on buses and diesel‑powered vehicles.

High School diploma or equivalent.

ASE certifications are a plus but not required.

Valid Driver's License.

Commercial driver's license (CDL) is a plus but not required.
