Phlebotomist II Float – Las Vegas, NV
Shift and Schedule Wednesday to Sunday, 11:30 PM to 8:00 AM
Job Description Overview This float position requires a state phlebotomy license (Quest does not accept NHA licenses in CA, WA, NV). As a Phlebotomist floater you will shift frequently between patient centers, providing diverse and dynamic work. You will draw quality blood samples, prepare specimens for lab testing, collect specimens for various tests, enter billing information, coach new staff, and travel to additional sites when needed.
Pay Range $21.35+ per hour. Eligible for shift differential: 10% for second‑shift hours and 15% for third‑shift hours. May receive annual performance bonus.

Responsibilities
Assigned territory to cover phlebotomist duties within a Patient Service Center, doctor’s office, or as business needs dictate
Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare those specimens for lab testing
Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams)
Enter billing information and collect payment when required
Coach, mentor, instruct, and be a resource advisor for new employees; serve as point of contact to staff on site and provide regular input to the group lead or supervisor
Travel to additional doctor’s office or Patient Service Center sites when needed
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington
Three years phlebotomy experience required (pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections)
Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred
Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred
Keyboard/data entry experience
Effective communication in English
