Phlebotomist II Float
Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist II Float for the Las Vegas, NV location. This role works Wednesday to Sunday, 11:30 PM to 8:00 AM.
Requirements: state phlebotomy license (Quest does not accept NHA licenses in CA, WA, NV). Experience: three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections. Minimum two years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred. Patient service, customer service experience, keyboard/data entry. Must communicate effectively in English.
Pay range:
$21.35+ per hour; may receive shift differential of 10% for second shift and 15% for third shift. Additional details will be provided if an offer is extended. Salary offers are based on experience, training, education, certifications, and organizational factors. Successful candidates may be eligible for an annual performance bonus.

Responsibilities
Assigned a territory to cover phlebotomist duties within a patient service center, doctor’s office, or other sites as needed.
Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing.
Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams, etc.).
Enter billing information and collect payment when required.
Coaching, mentoring, and instructing new employees; serve as resource advisor and point of contact for staff on site; provide regular input to group lead or supervisor.
Travel to additional doctor’s office or patient service center sites when needed.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
Three years phlebotomy experience required (pediatric, geriatric, capillary). Minimum 2 years in a patient service center preferred.
Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
Keyboard/data entry experience.
