The Senior Account Executive is responsible for managing the business relationship between major accounts, sales representatives, and the company. This position is based in NYC and requires working on‑site five days per week.

Key Responsibilities

Specific focus on all off‑price and club apparel accounts.

Analyze customer business opportunities.

Maintain and build relationships with key decision makers.

Handle all daily communication both internal and external.

Responsible for closing ATS deals weekly and strategizing to move inventory.

Collaborate with planning on monthly goals and yearly forecasting.

Communications with all levels of customer service / production / design.

Review sales performance to help in future line development.

Provide consumer insights and product needs in advance of the season.

Collaborate with production team to review costing, customer deliveries & ensure margin goals are met.

Ensure efficiency within off‑price sample and fitting processes.

Manage all top of production samples and send necessary requirements to customers & track approvals.

Provide samples to customers as needed for style outs and selections review.

Support sample trafficking external and internal.

Conduct line presentations and meetings with key customers.

Support sales team with all needed tasks.

Perform Account Associate duties as needed.

Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines with support and resources as needed.

Maintain a merchandised showroom.

Excel at internal and external communications to drive business decisions.

Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Specific Job Skills

Ability to perform complex verbal and written communications face‑to‑face and in group settings.

Work responsibilities occasionally concern confidential and/or sensitive information requiring the use of discretion.

Job duties varied, frequently require attention to and/or coordination of concurrent job duties.

Ability to work in a multi‑task, high‑pressure environment.

Ability to travel as required.

Highly organized, detail‑oriented and time‑management skills essential.

Strong follow‑up and completion skills.

Under general direction, examines moderately complex information and/or situations and prepares summary, solves problems for self; complex problems are referred to supervisor.

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years in fashion or related industry.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel, Joor and Nu Order.

Excellent interpersonal, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.

The anticipated base salary for this position is $100k‑$110k based on the candidate’s skills and experience. Steve Madden also offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
