Territory Sales Representative: Montgomery, NY Utz Brands, Inc. is looking for a dynamic, driven, and energetic Territory Sales Representative (TSR) to join our growing team in Montgomery, NY. As a TSR, you will report directly to the Zone Sales Manager and play a key role in driving sales growth, increasing market presence, and building lasting relationships with independent distributors and retail partners.

Salary:

$65,000–$80,000 + Bonus.

Responsibilities

Establish and maintain proactive and professional relationships with Retail Trade and independent distributors; act as a key liaison between the Zone Sales Manager and Independent Distributors.

Reinforce to retail store managers and decision makers that Utz supports independent distributors and values their relationships with the company.

Maintain regular retail chain contacts and frequent visits to support service levels, recognizing that independent distributors sell product to stores on their routes.

Provide information on industry performance and service measurements, including new product sales, display execution opportunities, and retail store feedback, in a persuasive manner without exercising control over the independent distributor.

Communicate the company’s focus to independent distributors and facilitate improvements in their results by providing information on sales targets, stale, service, merchandising standards, and product/mix distribution.

Occasionally run an open route, when required.

Support the Zone Sales Manager with workshop meetings intended to offer independent distributors the opportunity to voluntarily enhance their operational expertise.

Provide full‑day route ride‑along opportunities upon request, offering route optimization and skill sharing.

Act as key liaison between Independent Operators and the Company Settlement Department to assist in resolving IO issues regarding settlement statements.

Perform required resets directed by the Zone Sales Manager when third‑party reset services are unavailable.

Qualifications

1–3 years of experience in sales operations, preferably in the snack, grocery, or beverage industry; bachelor’s degree preferred.

Proficient reading, writing, and communication in English.

Ability to multi‑task, prioritize responsibilities, and remain flexible to meet daily objectives.

Knowledge of independent distribution models preferred.

Capacity to build trust and rapport through persuasion and respect.

Strong ethical selling and negotiation skills, shareable with independent operators on request.

Proactive verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.

Attention to detail, organization, and prioritization skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Physical ability to lift, push, transport, and pull products weighing up to and over 40 lbs.

Minimum 19 years of age and a valid driver’s license.

Ability to obtain DOT certification.

Ability to legally and safely operate a motor vehicle.
