Communicate with leadership regarding encounters and investigations Maintain professional relationships with local authorities, law enforcement, and other retailers Collaborate to identify organized retail crime threats Assist leadership with cash handling and transfers Observe customers and associates for potential theft or fraud and act accordingly Conduct surveillance, apprehend suspects, and maintain all records per company standards Monitor CCTV, conduct on‑site interviews, and maintain knowledge of equipment Monitor store compliance with theft deterrence, safety, and operational controls Safety

Mitigate security risks to provide a safer environment for employees and customers Assist customers, visitors, and vendors in locating staff and accessing facilities Tag property brought into stores and manage essential equipment Perform floor and exterior walks to ensure safety and security Complete monthly safety reports First Responder

Assist with vehicle breakdowns, lock‑outs, and cart retrieval React to shoplifting, medical emergencies, and inclement weather Work a schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or college graduate preferred Strong communication and organizational skills 2–3 years of loss prevention experience preferred CPR and OC (pepper spray) certification or willingness to obtain Culture & Team Mentality

Maintain professional grooming and attire in alignment with Scheels standards Deliver work with pride, ownership, and timely deadlines Education & Experience
