Overview
As a Field Estimating Property Adjuster at Allstate, you will provide exceptional service to policyholders. Your primary responsibilities include traveling to customers' homes to conduct on-site inspections, investigate coverage, prepare estimates, and settle claims promptly and efficiently. You will also handle virtual claims nationwide using Xactimate, ClaimsX, and Video Collaboration, with a focus on water loss claims.
Responsibilities
Customer Service Expert – live Allstate’s Claims Culture by caring, empowering, and restoring, leading with empathy.
Investigator – independently investigate property claims, perform detailed damage reviews, interpret policies, and determine coverage.
Effective Communicator – use phone, email, and video chat with customers to help them through a fast, fair, and easy claims process.
Negotiator – evaluate and negotiate claims settlements with customers, vendors, third‑party carriers, and claimants, incorporating tactics for challenging situations.
Problem Solver – utilize multiple tools to complete work in a fast‑paced environment, using critical thinking skills.
Recorder – protect the company financially by executing policies and maintaining accurate documentation in the claims system.
Preferred Qualifications
Outside adjuster experience.
Proficiency in Xactimate and related estimating software.
Strong critical thinking and technical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to travel nationwide and handle virtual claims.
Detail‑oriented and organized.
Residency within the posted location.
Required Qualifications
Carry a 50‑pound ladder and access up to a 6/12 pitch on one‑to‑two‑story roofs.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
Training
Program builds claims foundation and systems knowledge.
Ongoing training opportunities for continuous improvement.
Approximately 2 weeks of training in Wheeling, IL.
