Position Type: Permanent Full Time/Part Time: Part Time Open Until filled. $18.88 to $20.77 Hourly. Actual salary based on experience and qualifications. Mims/North Area. Part-time/25 hours per week. Work schedule is Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Performs entry-level service maintenance work reading water meters, recording water consumption, and recording abnormal and/or unacceptable meter conditions on handheld or other mobile devices. Work involves following established routes in an assigned area; inputting readings for accurate billing; taking photographs and advising supervisors of abnormal readings or unusual situations that require attention; and answering customer inquiries relating to meter reads, abnormal readings, or unacceptable meter conditions. Requirements
One (1) year of experience entering, transcribing, recording, storing, and/or maintaining electronic and records utilizing tablets, laptops, or other mobile devices; OR one (1) year of experience performing water line or plumbing repairs and/or meter maintenance. Special Requirements
Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment. Must possess, or obtain within six (6) months of employment, a first aid certification and a cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification from an approved agency and maintain both certifications during the term of employment. Must successfully complete, within nine (9) months of employment, all of the Brevard County Mandatory Training for the Development of New Employees classes. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
