Capital Markets Mid-Level Associate - New York

Responsibilities and Practice Dentons US LLP is seeking a mid-level associate to join our Chambers‑rated Agency and Trust team within our renowned Capital Markets practice. The ideal candidate will have four to six years of law firm experience working on Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLOs). In addition to this involvement with CLOs, experience with other structured finance asset types would also be beneficial (e.g., whole business, datacenter, cable/fiber, auto securitizations, residential mortgage‑backed, commercial mortgage‑backed, triple‑net lease). The individual hired for this role will be part of a dedicated Agency and Trust team and will be responsible for drafting and reviewing transaction documents, coordinating with trustees and other transaction parties, supporting deal execution and post‑closing matters, conducting legal research, and assisting with internal practice development initiatives.
Representing Trustee, Security Registrars, Collateral Administrators, Securities Administrators among other service providers in structured finance transactions
Reviewing and negotiating primary transaction documents and agreements
Drafting and negotiating ancillary documents and agreements
Communicating with clients and transaction counterparties
Working collaboratively to manage all aspects of our work
Supporting the practice as needed
Personal skills / Attributes
Embraces teamwork, and contributes to a supportive and inclusive work environment
Possesses outstanding oral and written communication and research skills
Is conscientious with exceptional attention to detail
Independent self‑starter
Has a sincere interest in career development and welcomes feedback
Technical skills
4-6 years of law firm experience is preferred
Other requirements
Should be licensed to practice law in the State of New York and be in good standing
