About the Role As a Commercial Lender, you will serve as a member of the Lending division responsible for development and management of a commercial loan portfolio. Your primary responsibilities include prospecting new loans, managing existing loans, meeting strategic growth goals, and maintaining compliance with all regulations.

Responsibilities

Develop and manage a commercial loan portfolio for the bank.

Focus on high quality loans, including C&I and owner-occupied CRE loans; SBA loans knowledge required.

Prospect for new loans and serve as calling officer when needed.

Demonstrate superior credit skills and loan management abilities for presenting new loans for approval and maintaining existing loan portfolio.

Set measurable goals focused on customer service and long-term profitability.

Collaborate with management to formulate strategic planning goals to grow the bank’s loan portfolio and net income.

Stay abreast of industry trends and products to ensure effectiveness and profitability of bank’s services.

Support the positive image and growth of the bank.

Comply with all federal, state, and local regulatory rules and company policies.

Complete required regulatory compliance training.

Participate in project meetings.

Secondary oversight of lobby services; management of personal banking, cash operations, and loan floor supervisors.

Daily oversight in absence of market supervisor/president.

Perform additional duties assigned by management.

Qualifications

Sound knowledge of field’s concepts, practices, and procedures.

Strong knowledge of compliance with Federal and State regulations relevant to banking.

Strong knowledge of lending products and services.

Self-motivated work ethic and ability to handle high‑pressure situations.

Exceptional management, organizational, planning, time management, and project management skills.

Excellent written, communication, and customer relations skills.

Ability to set strategic goals and ensure high quality of products and services.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Must live within 45 minutes of the bank’s location.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or business‑related field.

Minimum of three years Commercial Lending experience.

Formal credit training preferred.

Work Location Guaranty Bank & Trust, 2255 Ridge Road, Suite 150, Rockwall, TX 75087. Must live within 45 minutes of the location.

Compensation & Benefits Starting salary is dependent on relevant experience and may vary by location. Physical Demands The role requires sitting, repetitive hand motions, talking, hearing, occasional standing, walking, lifting, and operating routine office equipment. Regular attendance and ability to work extended hours or travel off site are required.
