Key Responsibilities

Develop new commercial loan relationships and manage an existing portfolio to ensure quality and profitability.

Evaluate, structure, and underwrite commercial loan requests in compliance with bank policies and regulatory guidelines.

Prepare credit memorandums, present loan requests to the Loan Committee, and manage the ongoing credit quality of the portfolio.

Cross‑sell additional bank products and services to deepen client relationships.

Participate in community and business development activities to enhance the bank’s visibility and promote its lending services.

Monitor loan performance and proactively address potential credit issues.

Work collaboratively with credit analysts, processors, and support staff to ensure timely and accurate loan documentation and closing.

Over time, assist with residential mortgage lending, including originating and processing conventional and in‑house mortgage loans.

Stay current on local market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes impacting lending operations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

3+ years of experience in commercial lending, credit analysis, or banking.

Strong understanding of financial statements, loan underwriting, and credit risk assessment.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.

Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Commitment to exceptional customer service and community involvement.

NMLS registration or ability to obtain one (required for future mortgage lending responsibilities).
