Event Coordination Responsibilities

Plan and coordinate multiple events simultaneously, including children’s birthday parties, craft classes, and other in‑store events.

Engage with clients of all ages by creating a fun and creative environment.

Demonstrate and instruct party participants in the completion of craft projects and perform face‑painting and other activities.

Facilitate and implement party add‑ons such as goody bags, balloons, and other company‑standard add‑ons.

Communicate event details with clients and store team members.

Complete administrative tasks such as answering emails, making phone calls, and completing paperwork as needed.

Adjust plans and events based on client feedback and needs.

Create backup or emergency plans to be executed as needed.

Ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events.

Customer Experience Responsibilities

Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions.

Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience.

Engage customers on the benefits of the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.

Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.

Assist with Omni‑channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).

Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram processes.

Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance.

Perform Store in Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.

Support shrink and safety programs.

Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements.

Interact with others in an accepting and respectful manner and promote commitment to the organization’s vision and values.

Cross‑train in custom framing selling and production.

Participate in daily store cleanliness activities, including sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and maintaining restrooms.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Energetic, enthusiastic, and personable.

Excellent people skills and the ability to handle job stress.

Experience working with children and children’s events.

Good communication skills, including written, verbal, and nonverbal communication and listening skills.

Organizational, interpersonal, and creative problem‑solving skills.

Retail and/or customer service experience required.

Physical Requirements

Remain standing for long periods of time.

Move throughout the store.

Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.

Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.

Contact supervisor for reasonable accommodations if needed.

Work Environment

Public retail store setting with climate‑controlled public areas and some climate‑controlled stock rooms.

Occasional outdoor work for unloading trucks, retrieving shopping carts, or other assignments.

Work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings.
