Our campus is located at 1601 Maple Street, Carrollton, GA 30118. Faculty and staff expectations

are to be physically present on campus as needed to support the in-person educational experience and on-campus vitality at the University of West Georgia. Depending upon teaching assignments and student demand, this could include the Carrollton or Newnan campuses. Job Summary

The Coordinator of Student Conduct is responsible for the investigation and adjudication of student conduct cases. This may include, but is not limited to, cases related to academic integrity, housing policy violations, and general student conduct. The Coordinator will be responsible for collaborating with campus stakeholders to develop and implement educational programs and sanctions. This position is designated as a Clery Act Campus Security Authority (CSA). CSAs are obligated to report all Clery Act qualifying crimes which occur on campus, in public areas bordering campus and in certain non-campus buildings owned or controlled (leased) by the University to the proper channels. Complete annual mandatory training. CSAs who deliberately fail to report crimes may be subject to appropriate discipline, including being barred from holding any CSA position in the future. Responsibilities

Acts as an investigator in the resolution of student conduct cases and other office initiatives, services and projects. Duties include reviewing reports for potential violations of the Student Conduct Code, coordinating initial and follow-up meetings with complainants, respondents, witnesses and advisors in order to provide a thorough investigation report to case managers, Assistant Dean of Students and/or Dean of Students and appropriate appeal persons. Propose and provide justification for violations of the Student Code of Conduct and appropriate sanctions. Manages daily reports of alleged student conduct violations. Assigns cases appropriate for investigation, collaborates with graduate interns for hearings. Provides all necessary documentation, and manages within the database. Manages appropriate communication with students and staff related to conduct cases. Coordinates departmental programming. Collaborates across the division to determine educational needs for students. Provides structured learning opportunities and facilitates the development and presentation of learning opportunities. Works directly with departmental graduate staff members to create and deliver the educational sessions. Monitors and maintains the educational online sanction databases. Collaborates with stakeholders to perform necessary updates. Acts as a campus-wide resource for administrators, faculty, staff, and students regarding general and special conduct issues. Designs, implements, and evaluates presentations and workshops to students, faculty, and staff in alignment with office mission. Ensures that the Office of Community Standards practices are in line with changes and updates made by the University System of Georgia and the Board of Regents. Ensures that the Office of Community Standards practices are in compliance with changed laws and policies. Attends all department, division meetings, retreats, and professional development workshops, and participates in other committee opportunities; assists with Student Life initiatives assigned by the Associate Vice President and Dean of Students. Collaboratively works to support the mission, vision and goals of the University of West Georgia. Other duties as assigned. Educational Requirements Master's degree in student affairs, social work, counseling or related field.
