Arvada team and multiple other locations are seeking motivated, safety‑oriented individuals who enjoy working outdoors. Comfortable driving a company vehicle, using mapping tools, and locating underground utilities to prevent damages.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Drive company vehicle directly from home to job sites for routine tickets, emergencies, and relocations.
Utilize mapping tools, locators, and other equipment to locate underground utilities (electric, gas, telephone, communication lines, etc.).
Mark utility locations with paint, flags, and communicate findings to excavation personnel and relevant authorities.
Respond to after‑hours emergency call‑outs per the established rotation schedule.
Ensure all safety protocols are followed and complete work with attention to detail.
Physical Demands
Drive 50–300+ miles daily as required.
Get in and out of a vehicle 50+ times a day.
Stand and walk lengthy distances (1+ mile) over uneven terrain in all weather.
Lift and/or move 50–150 pounds.
Work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
Valid driver’s license for applicable state (Required)
Computer skills – 1 year preferred
Utility locating experience – 1 year preferred
Must be able to work overtime and respond to after‑hours calls
Subject to Vannguard’s Drug‑Free Workplace Program; must complete pre‑employment drug screening
Self‑motivation, strong communication skills, and a willingness to follow safety protocols
Physical Setting & Schedule
Outdoor work
10‑hour shift, Monday to Friday
On‑call and overtime opportunities
