What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
Develop and nurture relationships with key decision-makers in state and local government as well as educational institutions
Align security and identity solutions with regional priorities, focusing on digital transformation and cybersecurity
Navigate and master procurement cycles and cooperative purchasing agreements relevant to each state
Proactively identify and qualify new opportunities within the competitive SLED market
Maintain an active presence in major hubs, requiring frequent travel to engage with customers and partners
What is Required (Qualifications):
Proven experience in closing deals within State and Local cooperative contracts and formal RFP/RFQ processes
Strong understanding of SLED funding streams including state legislative appropriations and federal grants
Experience managing complex multi-state public sector accounts across the Northeast corridor
Background in selling to the education sector, with understanding of governance in public university systems and K-12 districts
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with C-level executives and SLED leadership
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
Experience with navigating specific state contract vehicles such as NY OGS and MA CommBUYS
Entrepreneurial mindset with a high level of energy and dedication to succeed
Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and build strong relationships
Familiarity with CRM tools for managing business opportunities and sales pipeline growth
