Inside B2B Business Development Sales Representative
The HT Group has partnered with the world’s largest and leading manufacturer of rugged industrial keyboards and peripherals in search of an experienced Inside B2B Business Development/Sales Representative with a “Hunter” mentality. This company has over 30 years of history and significant growth and assembles their products in Austin, Texas. This is a small company with a worldwide presence and a family atmosphere.
Base Pay Range $70,000.00/yr - $70,000.00/yr
Job Summary We are looking for an experienced, money‑motivated, business‑to‑business Inside B2B Business Development/Sales Representative who has demonstrated the ability to identify, evaluate and develop new business opportunities in order to expand business and increase profitability and handle channel sales and key accounts. He/she must have excellent sales skills, strong work ethic, time management skills, attention to detail and the ability to travel periodically. The successful candidate should not need sales training. This is a full‑time position with benefits including medical, matching 401‑K and paid PTO. Currently no cap on commissions.

Responsibilities
Handle key accounts
Retain and expand existing company relationships, product lines, and market segments
Identify, develop, and close business with new customers
Solicit new business from existing and prospective customers
Periodic travel visiting prospective and existing customers and trade shows and channel partners to expand the existing customer base
Develop and implement strategic tactical sales plans for growing new business and expanding current business
Oversee development and research activities to build on company strengths
Identify potential new markets and business opportunities, increase market share, and strengthen company’s competitive position within the industry
Work with other sales and marketing employees to enhance technical visibility and company image within all accounts
Keep abreast of market needs and sales
Prospect via phone and cold calling
Provide reports to management on activities, forecasts, sales and projects accurately and on time
Acquire and maintain knowledge of competitive products
Identify opportunities and develop these prospects
Maintain and update Salesforce, including data entry, follow‑up and lead tracking
Maintain comprehensive and up‑to‑date knowledge of iKey’s products, customer applications and competitive product differences
Build strong alliances with OEM, channel and integration partners within the operating territory or vertical
Effectively position and present company portfolio of value‑added offerings
Provide customer quotes, ROI, proposals and product information based on specific use case and business value
Excited to work with customers in all verticals including law enforcement and military
Qualifications
Money motivated and pro‑business
Minimum of 4 years of successful outside sales experience, with a documented history of new business development
Strategic sales thinking with a “Hunter” mentality
Committed to continuous sales education through workshops, seminars and conferences
Strong Salesforce ability
Strong written and verbal communication skills and strong presentation skills
Self‑starter with excellent time management, planning, and organization
Goal‑oriented team player who is highly motivated to succeed
Great positive attitude and relentless dedication to success
Interest in working for a small company
