Job Title:

Property Manager

Salary:

$70,000 per year

Responsibilities

Manage day‑to‑day operations, resident satisfaction & retention, full resident lifecycle activities, property P&L, and marketing.

Meet client expectations and provide excellent customer service.

Recruit, interview, provide feedback, and hire staff.

Create a climate that encourages associates to perform via a shared vision, coaching, and development.

Execute strategic marketing plan to attract and retain residents.

Understand operations guidelines within the property management agreement.

Respond to resident complaints, serve as liaison to corporate office regarding maintenance and rule enforcement.

Maintain professional and technical knowledge through workshops, publications, and professional networks.

Organize and implement natural disaster and emergency evacuation plans.

Manage safety records, loss claims, and risk‑management initiatives.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

High school diploma is required. Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Two to three years of experience in property management required.

One to two years of direct management experience required.

Knowledge of resident rental lifecycle activities required.

Real estate license preferred or may be required in some locations.

Knowledge of Salesforce.com preferred.

Prior experience in Yardi Voyager or an equivalent system preferred.

Skills & Requirements

Very strong organizational and time‑management skills.

Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all management levels.

Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Sensitivity to confidential matters required.

Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively in a fast‑paced environment.

Ability to relay technical concerns with detail, quickly and accurately.

Capability to read, write, comprehend, and converse in English.

Ability to use general office equipment (telephone, fax, printer, copier, key‑track system).

Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

Ability to defuse situations with angry or difficult people.

Must maintain a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance.
