The Manufacturing Sales Account Representative is responsible for driving new business growth and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers for the company. This hands‑on role requires a motivated and proactive professional who can identify and pursue new sales opportunities, negotiate contracts, and deliver exceptional customer experiences from initial contact through order fulfillment. The ideal candidate is an independent self‑starter who thrives in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment and enjoys building lasting partnerships.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage daily client interactions with a personable and professional approach, handling inquiries, providing quotes, processing purchase orders, and maintaining strong customer relationships to ensure high satisfaction and retention.

Proactively identify opportunities to grow existing accounts by introducing new product lines, part numbers, and services, collaborating closely with customers to understand their evolving needs.

Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, overseeing order entry, job creation, and timely communication regarding order status, delays, or issues, acting as a liaison between customers and internal teams.

Prepare quotations, perform job costing, and process sales orders with accuracy and attention to detail.

Collaborate closely with Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Quality departments to ensure successful project execution.

Coordinate with manufacturing, quoting, and production teams to ensure accurate and efficient order fulfillment, maintaining attention to detail to prevent errors in custom, low-volume, high‑mix orders.

Deliver engaging presentations and product demonstrations tailored to customer needs.

Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry conferences.

Provide proactive communication and regular updates to customers regarding order status.

Negotiate and close sales deals while effectively handling objections or customer concerns.

Demonstrate strong problem‑solving skills and deliver responsive, professional customer service.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, ATTRIBUTES & SKILLS:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.

Proven experience in managing both new business development and existing account management responsibilities.

Comfortable working cross‑functionally with manufacturing, quoting, and marketing teams in a small, close‑knit company environment.

Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Comfortable handling contract manufacturing sales processes, including quoting, order entry, and customer issue resolution, while maintaining compliance with company policies.

Proficiency with Excel.

Experience with Epicor is a plus.

Experience with HubSpot is a plus.

Charismatic and personable with a strong client service orientation, able to build and maintain relationships with customers and internal teams through confident, professional communication.
