Account Executive
You’re a hands‑on, client‑focused communicator who thrives on executing tactical plans and driving results. As an account executive, you’ll partner with clients and internal Bader Rutter (BR) teams to execute projects that are strategically sound, creatively compelling and measurable in the marketplace. You’ll manage client standard operating procedures (SOPs), project budgets and campaign timelines, all while building your expertise in advertising, communications and client industries. Teammates would call you organized, proactive, and a strong collaborator. You’re curious about client businesses, motivated to learn and confident interacting with clients while supporting your team in delivering high‑quality work.
What You’ll Do
Lead client interactions during strategic execution, leveraging SOPs
Coordinate calls, demos and meetings, including agendas and follow‑ups
Manage creative approvals, copy uploads and client communications
Conduct competitive audits; and track messaging, positioning and spend
Monitor project budgets, approve invoices and manage fund allocations
Support overall client budget management (annual, quarterly, project)
Represent the agency at client and industry events
Interact with client marketers, sales reps and end users
Contribute to connecting client business challenges with BR solutions
Develop a proactive personal learning plan that covers client industries, advertising, communications and agency processes
What You’ll Bring
A bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, business or related field (or equivalent experience)
2‑5 years of relevant experience, preferably with agency or client‑service background
Strong written, verbal and nonverbal communication skills
High organizational skills with excellent time and budget management
Curiosity, motivation and collaboration as a team player
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams
Strong critical thinking and emotional intelligence
Travel:
Expected to travel more than 10%
Location:
Open to candidates based in Milwaukee and Chicago.
Salary Range:
$55,000‑70,000 annually
The provided salary range is a good faith estimate of what we expect to pay for this hire. The actual salary offered will be influenced by candidate experience and other job and market‑related factors.
