The Universal Waste Sales Specialist is responsible for driving sales and program adoption across WTG's national commercial accounts. This role focuses on promoting universal waste, e-waste, and other specialized recycling solutions while providing technical guidance and program support for commercial clients, including those in Rumpke territories.

Responsibilities of Position:

National Account Management:

Support WTG's national commercial accounts by identifying universal waste and e-waste opportunities, improving client programs, and providing targeted technical guidance

Develop and execute account-specific strategies to drive adoption of one-off or specialized recycling solutions

Serve as the primary WTG contact for universal waste-related initiatives within assigned accounts, coordinating with internal teams to deliver seamless service

Sales & Program Development:

Independently research industry trends and develop new program ideas for commercial clients

Collaborate with the National Sales Manager to identify growth opportunities and implement solution-based sales strategies

Provide training, workshops, and resources to client teams to enhance program effectiveness

Collaboration & Compliance:

Partner with internal teams and external vendors to ensure programs comply with federal, state, and local universal waste regulations

Work across regions as needed to support commercial client needs within Rumpke territories

Maintain accurate records of client interactions, program results, and business development activities

Perform other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position will not manage employees

Skills & Abilities Needed for Position:

Possess strong leadership skills with the ability to follow up on activities

Ability to present and communicate in a professional manner

Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills

Must be organized and have good time management skills

Proven ability to manage multiple accounts and drive program adoption across diverse commercial clients

High degree of motivation, creativity, and persistence in developing and implementing new ideas and in finding solutions to problems

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Experience & Knowledge Needed for Position:

Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant experience in sales, account management, or environmental programs considered

3-5 years of experience in national or regional account management, preferably with exposure to universal waste, e-waste, or environmental service solutions required

Knowledge of federal, state, and local recycling/universal waste regulations is a plus

Physical Requirements in a Regular Workday:

Rarely lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling a max of 50 lbs

Frequently sitting/standing/walking

Additional Working Conditions/Aspects:

Ability to travel between offices, as required

Ability to work flexible hours; expected to work nights and weekends as needed

Legally eligible to work in the United States

Valid driver's license (if applicable)

Must successfully complete pre-employment testing

Must be able to read and speak the English language
