Dealer Sales Manager (North Central)

Location Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Dakotas (must currently live in the territory with easy airport access)
Travel Requirements Frequent travel up to 75% overnight by car and/or airplane.
Primary Responsibilities
Grow Dynapac North America LLC road construction equipment sales and market share in designated territory.
Perform sales management of market and distribution to cover customers effectively.
Develop direct road construction sales and support distribution and other company representatives as needed.
Implement strategies to achieve sales growth and targets within the assigned geographic area.
Maintain positive relationships with established customers through close account management and attention to their needs.
Assess and define customer applications so the correct product can be represented.
Assist other road construction equipment representatives as required, including training or shared work with other customers.
Supervise and manage product demonstrations with key customers to prove product productivity, ease of use, and overall performance.
Service Responsibilities
Provide superior customer product support by working closely with corporate management, product managers, administration, and technical and customer support groups.
Supervise the planning, organization, and administration of road construction equipment demonstrations.
Provide product and application support to other road construction equipment reps and customers.
Manage and participate actively in new machine start‑ups and train additional sales personnel to improve sales presentations at the job site.
Resolve ongoing technical issues with customers and internal technical support, following up to ensure key issues are fully resolved.
Communication Responsibilities
Communicate market activities with the Senior Director of Sales, product line managers, and the sales team.
Communicate service, administration, and product support issues to product line managers, service management, customer service, inventory, and appropriate administration.
Prepare information for sales meetings and conference calls.
Prepare essential reports, including activity, sales, demo, and marketing reports.
Collect and submit data to maintain the customer information database.
Maintain competitor information such as specifications and market share.
Report industry trends relating to equipment, markets, and applications; participate in equipment shows and association meetings.
Assist other Dynapac personnel in achieving their goals in the geographic area with their respective products.
File serious customer complaints to the Senior Director of Sales for systematic resolution.
Training & Skill Development
Maintain a high level of product and application knowledge.
Possess a thorough understanding of machine functions and systems.
Present effective sales and product training seminars to customer sales teams and end customers.
Manage multiple customers and their multi‑layer personnel organizations.
Use computers and software (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word) to support daily activities.
Utilize CRM and quotation tools for ongoing customer relationship management improvement and visibility.
Leadership and Management
Manage distributors and other channels to exceed sales targets and provide necessary support.
Participate in management team meetings, reviews, territory management, inventory control, and planning processes.
Actively participate in industry trade associations in collaboration with the Director of Sales.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Five or more years of related industry experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of the road construction industry and products a definite plus.
Valid driver's license.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
Exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and outdoor weather conditions.
Noise level may become loud during equipment demonstration or operation.
Potential exposure to high, precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock.
This is a safety‑sensitive position.
Regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
Regularly required to stand and walk.
Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
